Living Map of Innovative Water Financing Mechanisms in the United States Interactive and continually updated "living" map released May 2017 showing case studies of innovative approaches to water financing across the U.S. Each case study is accompanied by a fact sheet describing the different elements of the financing approach based on our "Tapping into Alternative Ways to Fund Innovative and Multi-Purpose Water Projects: A Financing Framework from the Electricity Sector" research report. Developed with Newsha Ajami and Thomas Ng.
Data for Green Infrastructure Developed a policy proposal for Imagine H2O's 2017 California Water Policy Challenge around the creation of a digital tool to quantify the multi-sector performance metrics of green infrastructure as a way for implementers to demonstrate the benefits to funders and regulatory bodies. Received an honorable mention in the competition. This policy proposal was written in collaboration with Newsha Ajami and Bea Gordon.
Visualizing California's Dynamic Urban Water Use Data visualization portal for examining California's water use from 2013-2017 including during the first ever statewide mandatory water use restrictions. The website was a finalist in the 2016 California Water Data Challenge. The portal was most recently featured by Stanford News Service and accompanied by a informational video describing the site. This project was spearheaded by Patricia Gonzales and created in collaboration with Newsha Ajami.
The World without Environmental Engineers Educational video that received an honorable mention in the 2015-2016 AEESP Student Video Competition following the theme "Environmental Engineers Protect Public and Ecological Health. " The video was produced with Jon Bradshaw, Patricia Gonzales, and Jordyn Wolfand.
Uncovering Novel Relationships in the Water-Energy Nexus Video exploring future research needs for examining customer-level water-energy relationships as an entry for the 2016 Vail Global Energy Forum Video Competition.
